Training on Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015)

The Department of Textile Engineering & Fashion Design of the World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organized a specialized training program on Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) at the Founding Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium.

The program aimed to build awareness and capacity among students, faculty, and professionals on global environmental standards, with an emphasis on sustainability and compliance practices in the textile and related industries.

Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of WUB, attended as the Chief Guest. The event also featured distinguished Special Guests: Prof. Zaki Imam, Registrar of WUB; Dr. Ruhul Amin Khan, Advisor of the Department and Visiting Scholar (University of California, USA); and Samaul Alam, Head of Operations & Lead Auditor, AJA Bangladesh Limited.

The keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Ahoshan Habib, Lead Auditor & Trainer at AJA Bangladesh Limited. He discussed the practical implications of ISO 14001:2015 and its vital role in environmental protection and resource management. The session was presided over by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Head of the Department of Textile Engineering & Fashion Design, who emphasized WUB’s ongoing commitment to promoting quality education and sustainable industrial practices.

The collaborative initiative between WUB and AJA Bangladesh Limited reflects the university’s dedication to equipping future leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to address environmental challenges. The day-long training successfully combined academic insights with industry expertise, offering participants a unique opportunity to engage with global standards of environmental management.
