Inter Department Collaboration Cup 2026 Successfully Concluded at World University of Bangladesh

The Inter Department Collaboration Cup 2026, organized by the Department of Textile Engineering in collaboration with the Departments of Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Fashion Design, Mechanical Engineering, and Automobile Engineering of World University of Bangladesh (WUB), was successfully held and concluded as a one-day tournament at the university’s SDI Futsal Ground with great enthusiasm and participation.

The opening ceremony was attended by Professor M. Nurul Islam, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor of World University of Bangladesh, along with Professor Zaki Imam, Honorable Registrar; Kamrul Hasan, Joint Registrar; and Ahsan Touhid Milton. Distinguished academic leaders, including Mostafizur Rahman, Head of the Department of Textile Engineering and Fashion Design; Farhan Mahbub, Head of the Department of Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Automobile Engineering; and Professor Quamruzzaman, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, were also present.

During the opening program, Professor M. Nurul Islam, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor, delivered the keynote speech. In his address, he emphasized the importance of sports in building teamwork, leadership, discipline, and unity among students, and appreciated the collaborative initiative taken by the participating departments.

Following the speech, the tournament trophy was officially unveiled, after which the Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor kicked off the tournament by striking the football, marking the formal commencement of the matches.

As part of the day-long activities, a friendly exhibition match was arranged between the faculty members and administrative officers of the university. The match created an enjoyable and lively atmosphere, strengthening mutual understanding and camaraderie across different segments of the university community. In this friendly encounter, the Administrative Officers’ team emerged victorious.

After a series of competitive and exciting matches throughout the day, the tournament concluded with a closing and prize distribution ceremony. The closing session was graced by Professor Zaki Imam, Honorable Registrar, and Kamrul Hasan, Joint Registrar of World University of Bangladesh.

At the closing ceremony, the Mechanical Engineering Department emerged as the Champion of the Inter Department Collaboration Cup 2026. The championship trophy was handed over to the winning team by the Honorable Registrar and Joint Registrar amid enthusiastic applause from students and faculty members.

The successful completion of the Inter Department Collaboration Cup 2026 strengthened inter-departmental bonding, promoted sportsmanship, and reflected the vibrant co-curricular culture of World University of Bangladesh.
