Design Dominion’26 WUB Chapter

The Department of Textile Engineering and Fashion Design, World University of Bangladesh (WUB), hosted the official launching program of the first session of “Design Dominion ’26 (WUB Chapter)” in collaboration with Fashion Step Group (FSG) on 9 July 2026. More than 80 students participated enthusiastically in the event.

Design Dominion ’26, an initiative of Fashion Step Group (FSG), is the first innovation-based fashion design competition of its kind in Bangladesh. The program introduced students to the competition process and selection criteria while providing valuable insights into tech-pack development, product development, color cards, trend forecasting, and creative fashion design concepts. The interactive session inspired students to generate innovative ideas and strengthened their understanding of industry practices. Selected participants from the first round will advance to the next stage of the competition.

The program was attended by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Head of the Department, Department of Textile Engineering and Fashion Design, A.N.M. Ahsan Touhid Milton, Joint Registrar, respected faculty members of the department, and representatives of Fashion Step Group (FSG).

The sessions were conducted by Md. Toufiq-Ur-Rahman, Assistant Manager (HR & Administration), Md. Mohiuddin Shiblee, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Md. Ashiqur Rahman, Executive (HR & Administration). The closing remarks were delivered by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Chairperson of the Session.

The Department of Textile Engineering and Fashion Design expressed its sincere appreciation to Fashion Step Group for introducing this pioneering initiative and believes that such industry-academia collaborations will continue to inspire and prepare future fashion professionals.
