I have come from a middle class family. At first I used to think it would cost a lot for studying textile in a private university. But my university has a very well financial scheme. Here tuition fee is pretty student friendly. It provides good waiver opportunity.
If I have to talk about education standard of my department, it’s indeed one of the best. We do get good facility to gain theoretical and practical knowledge equally. Our highly facilitated laboratories where we can inspire ourselves for invention. Industrial visit, Thesis work, Industrial internship assist us a lot to prepare ourselves for our future job field.
I am very pleased to say that we have a super cooperative faculty in our department. They just do not teach us bookish thing, moreover they do career counselling, they share their real work field related experiences with us. They never get tired of inspiring us for becoming a true engineer along with a true human being.
I do feel proud to be a student of Department of Textile Engineering of World University of Bangladesh.
Department of Textile Engineering is actually pretty different here. Before I got into this department I heard textile engineering is quite an easy subject. But after getting into this department I realized here the lessons are not easy but the teaching method is different.
Frequent industrial visit, regular lab classes in well-equipped lab, appropriate mentoring, structured lesson plan and regular counselling have turned incomprehensible textiles engineering into an easily comprehensible one.
Here we do not bind ourselves just within study. We do study, we do play sports, we arrange different types of events as well. These help us not to be bored. Truly speaking, at first I was little bit concerned about getting chances of doing extra-curricular activities. I am happy to accept that I was totally wrong. Moreover, we have a very lively department.
At first it was very much tough for me to take decision in which department I wanted to get into. Frankly speaking, I did not know that much about Textile Engineering Department. Then I thought let’s give it a try first. After doing classes for one week in the department I became certain that for me things couldn’t be better than this.
Our teachers always try to make our lessons easily understandable as possible. The best part is, they are very much friendly with students. They make lesson plan in such a way so that we can learn effectively. They always encourage us to learn things not only for obtaining good grades but also for being a true engineer.
Our classroom is actually a two way communication classroom. We share our views, we discuss lessons with our teachers.As we are having regular lab classes it’s very much convenient for us to understand what we are studying, what is the purpose of our lessons. Now I am quite certain that I have taken the best decision to be in the department of textile engineering.
I was simply astonished when I first got admission to World University. I did not imagine that the varsity would have such a beautiful permanent campus. Frankly speaking at first I was very much anxious as I was going to be a Textile Engineering student .I was concerned whether they would have good textiles lab facilities or not. Now I can say undoubtedly that, the university is well equipped.We have different modern textile machineries in our lab.
To enhance our technical knowledge our varsity arranges industrial visit in different factories and laboratories on a regular basis.This is helping us to connect our theoretical knowledge with practical field.
In addition, we have super supportive faculties who are always ready to make complex things of textiles very simple for us. They do not only teach us to be a good textile engineer but also a good human being. Overall I am very much happy with my campus.
