Biography
Engr. Iusuf Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, World University of Bangladesh
Md. Iusuf Khan is an experienced academician and textile industry professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the World University of Bangladesh. He previously served as the Chairman and Assistant Professor at the Department of Textile Engineering, Port City International University (PCIU), Chattogram, where he contributed to academic leadership, teaching, departmental administration, curriculum development, and student supervision.
He has 11 years and 4 months of academic experience at Port City International University, in addition to more than 3.5 years of professional experience in the textile industry. His combined academic and industrial experience has provided him with a strong understanding of textile engineering education, industrial practices, quality management, and textile manufacturing processes.
Throughout his academic career, he has been involved in teaching, academic planning, student mentoring, examination activities, and departmental development. His experience as a former Chairman has strengthened his capabilities in academic administration, faculty coordination, curriculum management, and institutional development.
His areas of professional and research interest include textile wet processing, dyeing and finishing, sustainable textile manufacturing, textile wastewater treatment and recycling, environmental sustainability, quality management, and resource-efficient textile processing technologies. He is particularly interested in developing sustainable solutions that reduce water consumption, minimize wastewater generation, improve process efficiency, and promote environmentally responsible textile production.
With a strong combination of academic leadership and industrial experience, Md. Iusuf Khan aims to contribute to the advancement of Textile Engineering education, research, innovation, and sustainable industrial development in Bangladesh and internationally.
