Short Biography:

Md. Mostafizur Rahman has graduated from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Textile Technology. He completed the Master of Science in Textile Engineering from Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University. At present, Md. Rahman holds the position of Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Textile Engineering, World University of Bangladesh as well as the team leader of the departmental quality assurance cell and the chairman of the curriculum committee. Mr. Rahman also served as the chairman of the Self-Assessment committee, Department of Textile Engineering in 2017 -18 under the HEQEP project of the University Grants Commission and enough experienced to design and review of the OBE curriculum, course profile and assessment strategy.

Md. Rahman has 8 international publications including book chapter from various countries such as USA, UK, India, France, etc and at present 4 new book chapters are about to ready to published from Springer Nature, Singapore. Md. Rahman has research works on various chemical treatment effects on fabric properties, the effect of ultraviolet protection finishes, the effect of yarn quality on fabric properties, Polymer composites, etc. Mr. Rahman is interested in research in the following area: • Polymer composites • Medical textiles • Biodegradable polymer • Modification of cotton fiber with synthetic polymer • Modification of jute fiber.

In professional life, Mr. Rahman is a member of The Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and Institute of Textile Engineers and Technologists (ITET). Mr. Rahman also a member of the editorial board of A R Research Publication and Conference World. Mr. Rahman started his career as senior executive (RnD Department) at Interstoff Apparels Ltd. Gazipur, Bangladesh in 2008 before moved to World University of Bangladesh as Lecturer in 2010. Mr. Rahman was born in Pabna. From childhood, he was interested in Football, Cricket, and Badminton. Now, besides from professional life, he has engaged with social welfare organizations actively.
