Ifter Mahfil - 2019

On the occasion of the holy month Ramadan, an ‘Ifter Mahfil’- organized by the students of the department of textile engineering, World University of Bangladesh was recently held at its Green Road (Panthapoth) Campus. Professor A.K.M Ziaul Islam, Controller of Examinations, Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Head, Department of Textile Engineering, faculty members and administration members were also present in that event.

At the occasion speakers emphasized on the significance of the holy month Ramadan. The speaker stressed upon implementing the spirit of Ramadan through patience, perseverance and self-restraint in our daily lives.

A special prayer was offered seeking welfare and prosperity of the World University of Bangladesh and the Textile Department as well as mankind and the nation. Guests, Faculty Members, Administration officials, Students and Staffs around 200 people attended that Event.

Beside this, WUB Textile Alumni Association (WUBTAA) arranged another ‘Ifter Mahfil’ on 24^th May 2019, Friday at Olive Restaurant, Bijoy Soroni. The program was presided by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Head Department of Textile Engineering. Professor A.K.M Ziaul Islam, Controller of Examinations, Faculty members of the Textile Department, Administration officials and staffs were also present at that event.

The guests delivered their valuable speech regarding ‘Ifter’ and gave some valuable suggestions to the Alumni members for their future activities. Along with the guests, President and General Secretary of the Alumni association delivered their speeches at the ‘Ifter Mafil’.

The initiative is a part of the agenda of this executive committee formed a year ago, which will bring a dynamic scenario in alumni networking and boost the enthusiasm of the community. More than 100 Alumni attended the ‘Ifter Mahfil’.
