Biography
Dip Das
is a Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh (WUB),
where he has been serving since January 2019. Before joining academia, he
worked as a Shift Engineer in
the dyeing and finishing unit of East
West Suiting Mills Ltd., Savar, which enriched his industry expertise.
He
completed his B.Sc. in Textile
Engineering from WUB with a CGPA of 3.95 in 2015, followed by an MBA from the University of Dhaka with
a CGPA of 3.75 in 2018. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Apparel Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) with a CGPA of 3.56.
Dip
Das has contributed significantly to teaching,
research, and departmental development. He has taught a wide range of
courses in apparel manufacturing, production, and management systems,
consistently receiving positive feedback for his student-centered teaching
approach. His research contributions
include multiple journal publications, book chapters with reputed publishers,
and international conference papers—earning recognition such as the WUB Research Grant and an honor from
the former Education Minister at a BUTEX conference.
Beyond
teaching and research, he plays an active role in the university community as Treasurer of the WUB Textile Alumni
Association and Advisor of the
WUB Textile Club. He has organized academic and extracurricular events,
supervised students, arranged industry visits and internships, and supported
graduates in their career placements.
With
his strong academic background, professional experience, and dedication to
student success, Dip Das is committed to advancing the mission of the World
University of Bangladesh and contributing to innovation in textile engineering.
